The Three Layer Tip is made of three materials, including a copper bushing internal to the flow channel to improve thermal conductivity. Also contributing to an optimal thermal profile is the Pressure Block, which is made with special low-heat-conductible materials. It is positioned between the hot runner system and the mold to increase the clamp plate stiffness underload. The Thread Safe Kit is designed to both help optimize the injection molding process and simplify routine maintenance. This special bushing is positioned between the nozzle and manifold in order to allow for easy nozzle removal for routine maintenance without thread seizing or damage. In addition to reducing the size of the required tool, the lifters are said to help cut overall tool costs, offer simplified instal- lation, save in machining and adjustments, and eliminate complicated cam action operations. CUMSA USA / 248-850-8385 / cumsa.com Valve-Gate Nozzles Improve Part Quality Husky Injection Molding Systems' Ultra Helix 350 valve-gate nozzles were designed to come as close as possible to zero gate vestige performance, significantly improving part quality. Although other nozzles similarly have gates incorporated into the tips, these have valve stems that are said to pro- vide continuous guidance throughout the molding cycle, virtually eliminating mechanical wear on the stems and the cavity steel.
