Small Cavity Pressure Sensors
Offer Flexible Installation
RJG's 6-mm cavity pressure sensor is designed for high-cavitation molds with
small, tightly packed ejector pins. A model rated to 50 lbs for use with ejector
pins as large as 2 mm in diameter is newly available, and another rated to 250
lbs for pins ranging to 4.5 mm in diameter will be available later this year.
The 6-mm sensor matches the size of the company's 9211 piezoelectric button
sensor but is designed to be easier to use, since the connector cables can be bent
and folded without damage, allowing them to be maneuvered around obstacles.
The new sensor is part of the company's Multi-Channel Strain Gage sensor
line, which was designed to save space and simplify in-mold installations for
molds with four or more sensors. The system allows molders to connect as
many as eight sensors to one connection point on the mold.

Shoulderless Guide Bush Can be Axially Secured
Hasco's Z11 guide bush has no shoulder, making is suitable for use when there
is no supplementary mold plate for axially securing the bush or if the plate in
which the bush sits makes an additional demolding movement, as in the case
of molds with stripper plates, for example. A collar and Z67 circlip prevent
axial displacement. The guide bush also comes with a corresponding securing
groove that helps ensure precise guidance in the mold.
