PMIIndustries.com Software Simulates CNC Machining Processes Version 8 of CGTech's Vericut simulation, verification and optimization software simulates many types of CNC machining processes, including drilling and trimming of composite parts, waterjet cutting, riveting, robotic automation, multitasking, and parallel kinematic machining. The software can operate independently, but can also be integrated with existing CAM systems. The software detects collisions and near-misses between machine tool components such as axis slides, heads, turrets, rotary tables, spindles, toolchangers, fixtures, work- pieces, cutting tools and other user-defined objects. Users can also set up "near-miss zones" to check for close calls and detect overtravel errors. Machine movements and material replacement can be simulated while stepping or playing backwards. CGTech / cgtech.com / Booth E-3346 Exchangeable-Head End Mills Increase Accuracy, Repeatability OSG's Phoenix PXM exchangeable-head end mill series features the company's cutting geometries and coating, designed to improve performance in a variety of applications and materials such as steel, stainless steel, hardened steel and heat-resistant alloys. The series enables high accuracy and repeatability with a radial runout of less than 0.0006" (0.015 mm) and an axial repeatability of ±0.0012" (±0.030 mm). The tool's two-face contact (end face and taper) enables rigid clamping. Eleven different types of exchangeable heads are available to tackle a variety of machining situations and materials, including stable machining with long overhangs, silent rouging, profile milling and finishing operations.
