Compact Laser Marker
Designed for Lean Manufacturing
Designed for lean manufacturing, Amada Miyachi
America's benchtop LMWS laser marking work-
station features a Class 1 industrial design
and improved functionality over the company's
LMW2020 and LMW2030 models. It is capable of
marking metals, ceramics and plastics, and also offers cutting, drilling and weld-
ing capabilities. The unit is well-suited for low-volume production, and research
and development, and although its design has been modernized and several
features added, it is available at a reduced price point, the company says.
Standard models are powered by Miyachi's 10-50-W LMF fiber laser markers
and use the same graphic user interface for easy transfer from prototype to
production phase. Although separable from the base LMF, the two machines
are designed to function as one unit.
The fast and precise, motorized Z axis and rotary stage enable easy adjust-
ment of part and focus. The spring-loaded manual door opens for 180-degree
access to parts and tooling, and the large viewing window allows for visual
process monitoring. The LMWS is equipped with F 100, 160 and 254 lenses for
marking various parts and sizes. The fume extraction port with flexible tubing
also makes adjustment to different parts easy and fast, the company says.
