Nachi started our materials division to provide an inte- grated production system that extends from raw material input to finished product. nachiamerica.com DURO (Steel for Cold Works): DURO is NACHI's unique steel for cold work. It has two type grades: High toughness grades are DURO-F1, F3, F7, and high wear resistance grade is DURO-SP. Each grade has a different balance of toughness and wear resistance. These grades have better features than D2, M2 and PM HSS. The DURO Series is suitable for fine-blanking molds for materials which are difficult to process; for punches of fine, thin or complicated shapes; and for cold forging. Hardened Rods (Round bars and Near Net Shape bars): Ejector pins, core pins, round tools and other steel products which are thin and long, need a lot of work after heat treatment to straighten any deformities created by the heat treatment. NACHI's Hardened Rods are high performance steel wire rods which are already quenched and tempered. Our steel grades are available in high speed tool steel, tool steel and Martensite stainless, and more. DURO (Steel for Hot Works): DURO is NACHI's unique steel for hot work. It has two type grades: high toughness grade is DURO-N1, high strength grade is DURO-F1. These grades have better features than H10, H13 and M2. DURO is made by a highly purified procedure to have high toughness and fatigue strength because of very little non-metallic inclusions. Quanitity and size of carbides in DURO microstructure are controlled to have a superior balance of toughness and wear resistance.
