Boride Engineered Abrasives has expanded its line of mold polishing sup-
plies with Premium Stoning Oil, a petroleum-based lubricant for use with
mold and die polishing stones and abrasive papers. The nearly odorless
formulation is less hazardous than other lubricants, is not harsh on hands,
and does not promote
oxidation on molds and
dies, the company says.
It can be used on the
workpiece or tool itself,
or as a stone pre-soak.
When used with polish-
ing stones, the lubricant
prevents mold polishing
stone loading, and allows
for more consistent and
free cutting action.
