Ikonics DTX RPM (Rapid Prototype Media) produces high-resolution, large-format 3D textures that, once printed, can be used to wrap prototype parts for quick concept communication and approval. The flex- ible textures can be easily applied to the parts using standard adhesives and finished using stock paints and coatings. Pattern designs can be customized and easily adjusted. According to the company, DTX RPM technology can simulate mold-like, striation-free, stretchable 3D textures that mimic the high-resolution results of texture-house etching processes.
