According to the company, use of touch probes reduces setup times, helps increase machine usage time and improves dimensional accuracy of finished workpieces. TS workpiece touch probes are inserted directly into the machine tool spin- dle and are well-suited for workpiece alignment, presetting and measurement. They can be ordered with a cable or with an infrared interface. TT tool touch probes enable fully automatic measurement of stationary or rotating tools directly in the machine, depending on the functions featured by the NC control. The touch probes feature a wear-free optical sensor for increased long- term stability and optical displays that enable the user to check whether the touch probe is properly switched off or on.
