The machining center comes equipped with Schneeberger Monorail MR profiled linear roller guideways for high precision and rigidity. The rollers feature a convex "barrel" profile for a high load-carrying capacity and reduced wear with minimum roller friction. The heaviest machine in its class at more than 18,000 lbs, the SVL-4525 is said to be ideal for high-precision mold work. Thermal stability is maintained by a spindle oil chiller and electric cabinet heat exchanger. It uses a FANUC Oi-MD advanced control system with high-speed contour- ing software and FANUC drives and motors. Other standard features include a removable manual pulse generator (MPG) handwheel, USB port and embedded Ethernet on the control panel, spindle air blast, air gun and coolant gun, oil skimmer, chip conveyor, coolant- through spindle prep, and automatic toolchanger air accumulator.
